Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers Wii Game Giveaway
Last month Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers came out for the Nintendo Wii. It’s similar to the baseball game on Wii Sports, but on this one you can run the bases and there are “powerups” and other things you can do.
The game is rated E for everyone, so it’s pretty easy for all skill levels. My 4 year old and I played quite a few games, both against each other and on the same team. That is a huge plus for playing with younger children in my books!
Here are a few of the features that may catch your eye:

- Experience plenty of fun with 20+ hours of gameplay
- Conquer eight different fields and play in Pablo’s Yard and Quantum Field or on rooftops
- Family co-op mode offers fun for the whole gang, as your parents join the excitement
- Stunning visuals bring colorful settings to life for authentic game play
The power ups are pretty fun to use, if you are batting you can hit fire balls, or have the player turn to ice if he tries to catch your ball. A few other features include a season mode, create a player, mini games, tournaments, and a home run derby!
Two of the problems I had with the games were the difficulty settings and running the bases. The difference between easy and medium is several home runs. Not knowing we played on medium for quite a few games. After changing it, there was home run after home run.
Running the bases has been a little difficult for my 4 year old that is just learning how to play baseball. There could be extra options for auto-running like there are for auto-fielding. The fun part is pitching and batting!
Overall this is a great game and would recommend adding it to any gaming collection.

My fav game to play with the family is Dance Dance revolution Hottest party 3. We just got it and me my kids even my fiance love to dance and challenge each other. its a lot of fun.

My oldest child Kayla who is 7 and i like to play the Hannah Montana dance game. its fun and great exercise! My daughter is on a certain medication that causes her to gain weight, so with the game it keeps her moving and it helps manage her weight. best thing that ever came out for children was the Wii! keeps them movin!

Our favorite game is Mini Golf on Wii. Even my three year old is better than me
Mario Cart, by far. It’s fun watching everyone use their little steering wheels and lean in to the turns just like if they were driving a real car. Woot !

I love the hula-hoop & super hula-hoop one wii fit plus along with step. I really enjoy doing these with my kids. Our whole family has bowling tournaments together which is really fun.

Our favorite game to play is the WII Fit. It cracks us up to watch our MII’s change, some of them little rolly pollies sometimes lol, and then we have a blast playing the games while working out! We usually end up with tears in our eyes laughing at hula hooping because we are all so bad at it that it looks absolutely hilarious!
