Donation & Giving Roundup

give health

It’s the season of giving, so let’s do our part!  Please take a moment out of your day to help those in need.

A lot of you have been sending different “donation” types sites in and posting them on our Facebook page, so I thought what better time than now to do a Donation Roundup.  Many of the sites listed below only require you to click on a link (usually no sign-up necessary) whether you click one time only or once a day, that’s all up to you.  Other sites listed below require you to join them on Facebook and then click a link on their page.

La-Z-Boy on Facebook Like them on Facebook, click on the “RMHC” tab, and then put in your zip code.  Choose a location and La-Z-By will donate a Comfort Bear to the Ronald McDonald House of you choice.

Crowdtap – Every time you earn enough $ to cash out, a portion of it goes to the charity of your choice.

Click to Give – Give to charity for free!

Care2 – Care 2 make a difference.

The Rainforest Site, Hunger Site, Child Health Care Site, Breast Cancer Site, Animal Rescue Site, and Literacy Site – Click each tab at the top of the page to protect wildlife habitats, give free food, give a child free health care, give a pet food and care, give free mammograms, and give free books.

Land Care Niagara – Click to help plant a tree.

Free Rice – Play the game on their site and for each answer you get right they will donate ten grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Programme.

Xerox Let’s Say Thanks – In support of our troops, go to this site and pick out a thank you card.  Xerox will print it and send it to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.  You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.  It’s FREE and it only takes a second.

TOMS One for One - With every pair of shoes you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need.  In addition to this wonderful opportunity to help the less fortunate, they are also offering a memento of thanks to you by giving you a free bracelet.

Huggies Every Little Bottom – Huggies Enjoy the Ride members can donate 16 of their rewards points to help diaper a baby in need for one day.

Kenmore Baking for the Troops – “Like” Kenmore’s Facebook page and click on the “Cookies4Troops” tab at the top of their page to help Kenmore send cookies to troops for free and raise $50,000 for the Heroes at Home Wish Registry.  We’ve reached our goal of sending 250,000 cookies to deployed troops! Even sweeter, Kenmore is donating $50,000 to Heroes at Home to help troops on the home front.

(I’d just like to say a special thanks to our friend Lis P. for helping me out with this post. ~Shannon M.)

I did the La-Z Boy comfort bear one because I drive by the Ronald McDonald House every time I come home from visiting one of my friends. It’s good to know that bear will be going to that particular place I drive by all the time and hopefully cheering someone up there :D

Also filled out a card for the troops at Xerox. That particular charity has been around for a long time, and it’s a really simple thing for us free individuals to do to help our troops :)

    Thanks!

I joined the free rice one a few weeks ago if you want to friend me there just message me on facebook or the free rice page. My name is the same here and there. Also I made a group on the free rice page that I’d love to have members in – Sparkle Motion!
I love the free rice page cuz I am addicted to games and I really love brain games and that’s what the free rice has. Granted most of them are lower level so kids can play but I love the language games.
