Macy’s Go Red for Women

Macy’s has been a great affiliate of ours, and I enjoy working with them sharing new coupon codes. When I found out about the great campaign that Macy’s is working on, I was excited to be able to share it with you all!
Macy’s Go Red for Women campaign is to celebrate the National Wear Red Day which is February 5th. This is in honor to come together and fight heart disease, which is the #1 killer of American women and men. Macy’s has been very successful with raising and contributing money. Since 2004 they have contributed more than $21 million!
There are lots of great ways to participate this year. Check out the following:
- Red is the color that saves at the Wear Red Sale
- Take fashion to heart and buy the limited edition INC International Concepts Little Red Dress a portion of the proceeds goes back to the AHA.
- Share your story at the Go Red Casting Calls
- Attend a Go Red luncheon in your area
- Join Go Red For Women
In honor of the campaign they also have a great coupon code you can shop online with. Use Macy’s coupon code WEARRED at checkout to take an extra 10-20% off your purchase at Macys.com. It’s even valid in stores for just wearing red! The sale is valid from February 3rd through February 7th.

Red is a powerful color to use as a main theme for the Heart Awareness campaign. Macy’s use of the color red being a main focus to attract attention to this cause is excellant as it brands highlighting awareness to people & their health. I will be wearing red on the chosen day & hope everyone else will. It’s also neat that Macy’s is offering discounts to those who come in to their stores wearing red. Not only will their be a focus on the cause but you can also get your discount if you plan on shopping at Macy’s. Don’t forget to wear your red lipstick ladies
I love the dress they are selling. Being so tall though, I don’t think it would fit me!
I really like the fact that they made a dress to sell! I don’t like, however, that it’s kinda trampy. I wish it was more classic chic. Anyway, great idea! I also would love to go to a luncheon.

I love that Macy’s has the Go Red Action List posted on the site “Go Red for Women”. It’s easily located and offers ppl the option to donate to the American Heart Assoc right there on their site.
I like that they have a limited edition little dress! Cute!
I can wear red to promote “GO Red”. Macys is promoting w/a sale.
THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT TTO WEAR RED. ON JAN 17 2010 I LOST MY CHILDHOOD BFF SINCE 1969. SHE WAS 45 AND HAD CHF. WEAR RED AND SHARE YOUR HEART.

I joined the Go Red for Woman. And I will wear red too.
That dress is just too cute! Don’t think I can pull that off at work but I’ll wear something else red.
I see writeups in the paper about the Go red luncheons.
I would opt to wear red to shop. Red is my favorite color anyways.

I like that you can purchase a pin and knowing that that money in its entirety fors to the cause!
Anything to raise awareness for heart disease. After my husbands heart attack last year we changed the way we live. It had a huge impact on our small children. Even at 34, you are never too younger to suffer from heart disease. Your body is your temple treat it as such.
I love the charitable red dress idea. It’s a great way to give something while getting a little something for yourself too.

I like the fact that they are using bloggers to get the word out – very smart and reaches a lot of people.

Macy’s has always been in a leader in providing quality and community relations, now they once again reach out to help a cause which is true to all our hearts.
I’m glad that they acknowledge heart disease affects men as well. Sometimes people focus only on women’s health concerns and ignore men, so I’m happy Macy’s is helping that awareness.

I love that Macy’s is promoting everyone wearing Red tomorrow to support this great cause
I love that they have even made this an issue! I think the best way to get the word out is the sale at their store. People LOVE sales, especially in this economy. If you get them in the store, they will buy the pins and maybe do another thing for the cause too!!!
I get your emails.

My fav way they are getting the message out is via TV and PSA! Everyone watches TV for the most part, so that is a great way to get people educated about this issue.
