Since the last time I went to Chilis, I’ve wanted to go back. I like to visit restaurants that do the dining deals, or happy hour. After you go to one happy hour and get cheaper drinks and half priced appetizers, it’s hard to pay full price!

Chili’s has a 2 for $20 promotion going right now. You get 1 appetizer and two entrees for $20! These type of deals are even more helpful if you are at a table with 4 or more, you can save some serious $$!

The other day the family and I went to Chili’s to take advantage of that deal. The 2 for $20 menu is pretty decent. You get to choose from these appetizers:

• Fried Cheese
• Crispy Onion & Jalapeno Stack
• Chips & Salsa
• Chips & Fire-Grilled Corn Guacamole
• Half Order of Texas Cheese Fries

We of course ordered the Texas Cheese Fries! This is by far the best appetizer in my opinion. It comes with melted cheese, jalapenos, and bacon. With a bit of ranch dressing… YUM!

The entrees include:

• Fried Shrimp
• Quesadilla Explosion Salad
• Classic Bacon Burger
• Cajun Chicken Pasta
• Margarita Grilled Chicken
• Half-Rack Baby Back Ribs
• Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas
• Chicken Crispers
• Chicken Fajitas

The only thing really missing there for me is steak. I wasn’t in the mood for a hamburger, so there isn’t much else for some MEAT. I always order the Fajita Trio, so it would of been nice to get the steak fajitas on the 2 for $20 menu. The Chicken Fajitas which I ordered were okay, but could of been better, I like the variety.

I do have to report that I ordered the rice and beans for like $1 extra and they were not good at all. I mentioned it to the server and he had thought they had recently changed the recipe… I hope they change back! He did offer to remove it from the bill, but like I said it was only $1.

My guest had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and she enjoyed her meal. I didn’t taste it, but it looked good!

Overall it’s a great place to go for a night out. The food is good, the people are nice, and the deals are worth taking advantage of. I will definitely be going back soon!
