Ortega and Gorton’s are teaming up for an easy way to have Fish tacos in your house. I live in San Diego, so fish tacos are pretty common around here!

Fish tacos are usually breaded and fried fish with cabbage, pico de gallo, and a white citrus sauce (sour cream or mayo/yogurt combo). I like to keep mine pretty simple so I don’t have a unique recipe, I just mix together sour cream, lime juice, and chiptole peppers for a sauce.

Gorton’s and Ortega make it pretty easy to make your own. I tried it with the Gortons breaded fillets and the Gortons taco shells. Toss it in the oven, warm up the shells, and you are good to go!

I added my sauce as well as some cabbage and this is how it turned out:

With the area we live in fresh tortillas are easy to come by, so I did prefer that, however Ortega can be a good alternative. The great thing about the Gorton’s fish is that if you don’t use all of it, you can have regular ole fish sticks next time!
