Even if you’re not a kid, you know about Yoplait Trix Yogurt! Not only does it taste good, but it’s from Trix!

When I was a kid I ate it, and now I enjoy buying it for my son to have. It’s one of those things that you connect with the brand and bring you back to your childhood, much like sugary cereal. However now as a parent I am looking to see how much sugar are in drinks and food.

I can’t believe some of the juice boxes have so much sugar in them! Some of them have almost as much as a can of pepsi.

Well now not only do they still have Yoplait Trix, but also Yoplait Kids. The ones we’ve purchased are the ones with Dora on the front and are usually like yogurt drinks.

They are a good source of vitamin D as well as 25% less sugar than other kids yogurts. My son likes to enjoy his yogurts as a snack in between meals, or if sometimes with breakfast or lunch.

I did look at the nutritional value of both Yoplait Kids and Yoplait Trix and the sugar level is about the same. Since it is low in sugar, it is great to use as a “treat” item. Instead of giving in to ice cream and other sugary snacks, Yogurt is a great alternative and seems to be increasingly popular as people in general are becoming healthier eaters.

Yoplait Kids Prize Pack Giveaway

For trying out and reviewing the Yoplait Kids less sugar yogurt, we were sent a prize pack. The prize pack included:

• A coupon for a Yoplait Kids yogurt
• A travel cooler
• A fun spoon that changes colors in warm water (2)
• A reusable place mat with games
• A fuzzy tangle puzzle

Of course the coupon was great for a free pack of the yogurt, which is now gone! We’ve eaten them all up.

The rest of the pack was fun, because I told my son it was his. He enjoys the place mat and requests it now at mealtime. The puzzle is also a cool little thing to just have around to take with in the car or just to sit around with.

Personally I am liking the cooler. After school I can put a few items in the cooler (Gogurt or Yoplait Kids) with a few snacks and they stay cold. It’s big enough to fit a drink, some snacks like a lunch able, and a few other things. It also has a nice little pouch on either side.
